-seaweed
-hay
-straw
-spruce boughs

Mulches and permaculture design

– Permaculture is about copying systems that work in nature
– Virtually anywhere you see something growing in nature, the soil is covered in some sort of mulch
– Mulches greatly reduce the amount of work that you have to do in your garden, moreover, they make use of locally sourced inputs, thereby benefiting the environment.
