075 : Hybrid vs Heirloom – Controversy or Misunderstanding?

Maritime Gardening Podcast Episode 75

Hey folks, it’s 2019 and this is the 1st episode of season four of the Maritime Gardening Podcast! In this episode, since it’s the time of year when many of us make our decisions about what seeds we are going to buy and grow in our gardens, I thought it would be fun have a discussion about heirlooms and hybrids. I often hear permaculture/no-till/organic gardening gurus talking about heirloom seed varieties, their merits, and why they are the only thing you should grow in your garden. In this episode, I’m going to take that claim to task, and examine the pros and cons of the different seeds types.
