All About Ticks and Lyme Disease with Dr. Vett Lloyd

The increase of tick populations and the risk of Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses is a growing concern for many gardeners and lovers of the outdoors. Since knowledge is always the best first step in dealing with any problem, I thought it would make sense to talk to a scientist about ticks, so in this episode I talk to a biologist who researches ticks and Lyme disease! Dr. Vett Lloyd is a professor of Biology at Mount Allison University working on ticks and the pathogens they transmit. Have a listen and let me know what you think!

Here’s some of Dr. Lloyd’s publications if you’re in the mood for some interesting reading:

This episode has helped us a lot. We live near Lake Erie which historically has been overrun with ticks and the fear of lyme disease. We now have 6 Guinea fowl who are known for keeping the number of ticks down. Thank you for your info. Paul
