There are three key things needed for success in a vegetable garden: sun, water and soil. All three are essential, but the third is arguably where the gardener’s efforts can have the greatest effect. In this podcast I discuss building the soil: how soil is a term that we use to refer to a very complex system of interconnected organisms; how despite this complexity, the solution to great soil is very simple; and, the importance of keeping the soil covered with a mulch.

Loved this soil tutorial. Straight forward, no nonsense advice. I have begun to focus on soil building rather than sticking flowers everywhere. Any seaweed will do? Won’t be too salty?
Awesome!
